We are delighted that you have decided to include Lazy E Ranch in your 2008 breeding program and we look forward to having the opportunity to serve you. Please keep in mind that a stallion's book is filled on the basis of those booking fees that are received first. Returning your contract immediately, with your booking fee, will help insure your place in a stallion's book for 2008.
ALL CONTRACTS NOT RETURNED WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS OF ISSUANCE ARE CONSIDERED NULL AND VOID.
Our policy on payment of all stallion fees is as follows:
- If the mare remains in residence at the Lazy E Ranch to be bred, the fee will be billed when the mare is 30 days in foal. Or, if she departs prior to being confirmed in foal, the fee is due on departure, unless she is pronounced not in foal by our veterinarian prior to departure. If the mare is to be left at the Lazy E Ranch to breed through her heat cycle and then picked up following ovulation, the fee is due when the mare departs. If the mare is to be hauled in, bred and leave the same day, the fee is due before she is bred.
- TO ALL COOLED SEMEN CLIENTS:
- All fees including the stallion fee, Ranch cooled semen fee, courier and shipping charges and the Equitainer deposit must be pre-paid prior to any semen shipment. There will be no exceptions. For EACH semen shipment originating from Lazy E Ranch there will be a charge of $250.00 to the mare owner, this does not include courier and shipping charges, or the Equitainer deposit. Therefore, it is imperative, that your Veterinarian be aware of your mare's current breeding status and that she is, in fact, ready to be bred. It is Lazy E Ranch?s stated preference that all semen shipments be made to and inseminations performed at pre-approved established breeding farms. - The Lazy E Ranch's preference is to send semen using same day service via an airline, counter-to-counter, which services your area. The mare owner will be responsible for the courier charge for delivering the shipping container to the airport. The charge is $70.00 to $80.00 per trip. All shipping charges, by whatever method, are the responsibility of the mare owner.
- A deposit of $300.00 is required on the Equitainer in which the semen is shipped. Our preference is for the mare owner to secure this deposit with a credit card (we accept Visa/Master Charge & American express). This charge will not be put through on your credit card unless the Equitainer is not returned in it's entirety - this means the coolant cans and the ballast MUST be returned with the container. Additionally, because of the cost of and demand for containers during breeding season, ALL containers must be returned by NEXT DAY AIR (Fed-X, UPS, Avery, etc.). If the container is not returned and/or has not arrived at Lazy E Ranch, Inc. on the 3rd day post-shipment from Lazy E Ranch, then a late fee of $100.00 will be placed on your credit card.
